Thought I'd give you all a little update on my life:
Psychokitty & babies seem to be doing okay, but there's been a rottweiler spotted in our neighborhood roaming free. So that brings our neighborhood totals to 1 rottweiler and 3 ungroomed chows. (Why on earth would you get a chow and then not groom it or keep it in your yard????!!) I need to get PsychoKitty a collar and then I plan to call the pound about the dogs.
I'm still covered in poison ivy, and to top it off I seem to be allergic to my allergic reaction to the ivy! The areas where the ivy is healing are raised and swollen all around them. The only thing that I can figure about why it's spreading is that when I shower the ivy stuff gets in the water as I wash, and spreads to new parts of my body. So now I have ivy on my arms, belly, and legs... and I also have mosquito bites everywhere from our church 4th of July party, and I'm having an allergic reaction to my hairspray, so my scalp itches like crazy too. *whining* The itching is enough to drive me to drink!
I don't have net access at home right now, because I forgot to pay the bill (again). So, I haven't really been doing much online. We've had a CRAZY busy week here at work... in the 3 days we have been open this week, we've done as much business as we normally do in a full 5-day week! Plus combining all the other weekly tasks into 3 days instead of 5, AND doing special tasks because it's the first of the month!
So, hopefully this weekend I'll get my net working again, and be my normal chattery blog-visiting self!!! :)

Oh poor Jana! I used to use Calamine lotion to dry up the poison ivy spots. Are you sure it's poison ivy? Hasn't it been a while since you were exposed?
I've used Benadryl ~cream~ rather than the tablets, at times, foritching rashes, because it gets right to the area, and doesn't make you as drowsy, if at all.
But if it isn't poison ivy, you might need a corticosteriod creme. |

I, too was going to suggest Benadryl...it's always worked for me (even tho it makes you sleepy.) |

I agree with you calling the pound about the rottweiler, I hate those dogs. And I feel sorry for the chows.
Gosh, I am sorry your whole body is one itch fest. Does Benadryl help you at all?
I hope you get well soon, it would be driving me crazy as well. |
